Coastal Peace of Mind is recruiting an experienced Housekeeper for a permanent, live-out position with a private household in North Laguna Beach.
This hands-on role suits someone who takes pride in thoughtful household care, works independently and notices what needs attention. The housekeeper will report to the House Manager and help maintain a quiet, organized and beautifully presented home.
Pay: $40 per hour
Schedule: Approximately 24–32 hours per week across three or four weekdays. Typical days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, with Wednesday added for a four-day schedule. Final days and hours will be agreed upon with the household.
Start: As soon as mutually agreed.
Responsibilities include:
Detailed cleaning, daily tidying, bed making and biweekly deep cleaning.
Laundry and linen care, including delicate fabrics, occasional ironing and steaming.
Closet organization and coordination of dry cleaning and alterations.
Kitchen, refrigerator and pantry care, grocery shopping, inventory tracking and restocking.
Preparing guest rooms and maintaining household supplies.
Caring for patio furniture and railings, with additional exterior duties reviewed during interviews.
Allowing approved vendors into the home, directing them to designated work areas and remaining onsite during appointments.
Reporting maintenance concerns to the House Manager and photographing issues as needed.
Assisting the House Manager with agreed household errands and organizational tasks.
We are looking for someone with:
At least three years of private-household housekeeping experience, including luxury residences.
Strong laundry skills and careful handling of household surfaces and furnishings.
Excellent attention to detail, reliability and a proactive approach.
Clear communication in English and the ability to follow household instructions.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional errands.
Three verifiable professional references.
The ability to perform essential duties, including stairs and handling supplies up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Discretion and willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement.
Paid time off and designated paid holidays are offered; final terms will be reviewed during hiring. The regular work schedule continues while the principals travel. Cooking, childcare and travel with the household are not required.
